Being an iPhone 3GS user, I know how expensive the simplest items can get. If you love to spend money and want the best of everything, this may not be the product for you. If you are like me and just want something that works and won't break my heart when it stops working or comes up missing - then this is a great deal.
Such a good deal that I got several of them and I have them in my car, my wife's car (she has an iPhone 3G), and I pass them out to my friends as nice gifts.
The charger feels like a toy, very light and I wondered if it even worked, but after several months of a hard life in my Jeep, it has proven to be a champ.

I bought this cause the crappy battery life of my 3gs and need a little something extra to make it through the day. Was cheap and fit my budget. I have used this charger for a month now about 4 times a week regularly and nothing is wrong yet. I liked it so much I bought one for a relative. I have tested this charger with the 3gs and the 1st gen ipho e and both work.

I purchased mine on Amazon from Eforcity for 1 cent + $2.98 shipping. It looks well made and works just fine. I am going to return the one I got at an AT&T store for $30.

Great inexpensive charger. Works well. Have had for 4 months without problems. Note: If you are using a Otterbox Defender case, this charger's plus is too wide to use with the case still on. Works fine with the Otterbox Commuter case.
Replaced the charger we got from Apple, and this works better December 15, 2009

My honey and I bought a couple of the new 3Gs phones and one charger we got at the same time, made for the phone by Apple, is still running strong. The 2nd identical one went kaput after a day or two.
So here's a bit of useful info if you order something from Apple..if you take something to the Apple store that is brand new but died, if you don't have the receipt from the store you take it to (we ordered it online) they won't even allow you to exchange it. At least at the Apple store at the Domain shopping center in Austin...ahem...
So, since we could not exchange our Apple charger for a working one, we took a risk on this cheaper cord but figured it was worth a try. Still going strong after a month...the one that we paid $30 for from Apple hit the trash can long ago.
This one charges fast, clips easily into the phone, works better than the one made for the phone. Go figure.
Negative: It feels flimsier than the original cord but it's holding up well so far and we are not exactly gentle when we tug it out of the plug so I think it's a keeper. Considering I could get 30 of them for the price of one Apple charger, I'm good even if it breaks in a year.
