5 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!!!   December 18, 2009

I work at a pet grooming shop and we use the original furminator tool. We also use the shampoo and shed less treatment. I recently became the proud owner of a Black Lab puppy. When I saw this item on Amazon at such a good price, I decided to buy it for my own use at home. This desheding tool is AWESOME. I thought what we use at work was really good, but I have changed my mind. This one is much easier to grip and hold on to, and when the tool fills up with hair you just push a button and the hair is out of the way. I totally recommend this item for people with dogs that have shedding problems; Labs, Pugs, German Sheperds, Huskies, Jack Russels and many more. The Furminator tool pulls the loose undercoat out leaving the top coat in a beautiful condition.
I also recommend using the Furminator shampoo and the Furminator treatment along with the deshedding tool. It really does make a big difference. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

Excellent product. I have three golden retrievers and this comb works wonders. I had the original furminator and this one works tons better. It doesn't cut the top coat like the original and the hair extractor works great. I would highly recommend it.

I love the FURminator. I have a Chow Chow who has a very thick coat all year around. I had about 5 to 7 different brushes for him and still could not get all the loose hair out. My local pet grooming place charged about $85 to have one FURminator session. I was able to find out that this is the same exact tool they use and decided to purchase it. It is wonderful and it can be used often. I use this on my dog just about every other day.

5 out of 5 stars We All Like The Furminator!   July 3, 2010

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2R1HJXG8IAMJM The Furminator works really well and all our pets seem to like it. In my video, I do a short demonstration with my big fury dog, Abby, and my two cats, Manny and Spunky Doodle. After using it, their fur feels so soft that people who pet Abby always comment about how soft she feels. I put off buying this for awhile because I thought it was a bit pricey, but I'm glad I finally made the purchase. It is very useful and works really well! We have much less fur on our furniture and carpets now. Even though it says it's for dogs, using it very lightly on our cats works well too. As you can see in the video--they like it. We all highly recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars Dogs like the Furminator as much as I do!   January 24, 2010

We have two outside dogs that sleep indoors when it's cold or wet. The smaller long-hair sheds less than the larger short-hair, but both shed quite a bit and tend to smell musky even after bathing. Though I love the dogs dearly, I don't like the loose hair and I don't breathe as well at night when they are inside. I was intrigued by the rave reviews of Furminator and how well it removes the undercoat and diminishes dander. I was almost put off by the videos and reviews that said "you can make a dog pillow with all the hair you remove"...sounds gross and disgusting, but I weighed that claim against knowledge of how much dog hair I sweep from hardwood floors when our pets have been inside for a couple of days. Bought the Furminator with Furejector, and it works very, very well. Before this, the best results I've had were with a hoop-like 'brush', but it was too large and awkward to use on the dogs' legs or underside. And, it seemed I could never "finish" brushing with it...there was always more hair to remove, especially on the short-hair. Both dogs were comfortable with the Furminator wherever I brushed, and it did remove a quite substantial amount of loose hair - though not a 'pillow-full', for which I'm actually grateful. Their coats do seem shinier, they don't need thorough brushing again for a couple of weeks, and we notice far less musky smell...plus, I have been very pleased by far fewer dander allergy problems.
